New Radiation Symbol
I may be wrong, but I think this is the last original article I wrote before starting this new page. Here it is, in all its post-nuclear glory.
New Radiation SymbolClick here to read the full article.
For those of you who haven't heard, there's a brand new international radiation symbol. The new symbol depicts radiating waves, an arrow, a running person, a skull and crossbones, and a 15% chance that by the time you're done reading this, you'll already be dead.
I'm slowly bringing back all my old content. Write an email if there's anything you'd like to see again. Except for, you know, like, dead pets and stuff. Nostalgia is one thing, necromancy is quite another.

You switched to a _different_ mythological character? First, my youthful idealism was destroyed when I learned that your real name wasn't Thor, and now, your second mythological rebranding means that the destruction of my illusions had been for nothing. Is nothing sacred? *sob*
Ahem. Anyway, hope this project goes well. You really ought to put up the old EoTs and Grumbles in a separate section of your page -- they were not only hilarious, but quite unique for their time. In fact, even now that semi-periodical format looks kind of original, now that everyone uses the same damn blog software.

What I liked about the Grumblette format was that it allowed me to comment on recent topics -- much like a modern day blog -- en masse. It gave me time to really think about a topic, instead of rushing to talk about it a day after it happened.
I should probably some of the old End of Times. That was always the plan. Some of it doesn't hold up, but hopefully, some of it still does.

Well, if you ask me (and you haven't), you should just go ahead and put up all 16 EoTs. Some of them were obviously better than others (they got better as they went on), but all of them were at least fun to read. Your storytelling style was always engaging -- honestly I liked the earlier versions of EoT #5, with the hilarious dramatic/comedic narration, than the most recent and abridged version you put up. And if you put them all together, at least one can see that they're of a piece, and one will be able to appreciate the entire format.
The thing about blogs is that they _encourage_ one to "rush to talk about it" the moment after "it" happens, with no time for thought. The Grumble was somewhere halfway between a blog and a "zine," which was just the way we liked it, con-sarn it.
